My side step card - I love this card type, cannot wait to do more!

The background behind the tag on the left is a new technique I learned on Splitcoast Stampers. Here is a picture of two of the papers I made today - not the best in the world but will get better with practice and I only had a black crayon - white does better. Here is the tutorial - pretty easy to do and turns out pretty cool. Believe it or not the "white" area on the paper was created with a black crayon and then wiped off (with a little elbow grease) after the ink was put on.

Wow, everybody's cards are looking awesome! So many have skipped on to Christmas! LOL I'm doing good to stay in the month we are in much less get ahead a couple of months! I got several of these cards done at the first of the month when Christy first published the challenges but haven't had any time to photograph and upload!

Here is my center step card. It is a Halloween Card. The sides (ghosts) and wording (Happy Halloween) were $1 stamps. The center Haunted House image was found via google and cut using PNC. Thanks for looking!

Kathy, that is so pretty! Thanks for sharing the background technique.

Melanie, I love your Halloween card! Your images are all so cute. I am bouncing back and forth between fall and Winter cards for this challenge.

Kathy, your card is adorable. Thanks for the crayon technique, I did buy some crayons about a year ago for this and forgot what I bought them for, thanks for the reminder.

Melanie, cute card, great stamps. I'm always a couple months ahead on holiday cards because sending cards to the soldiers requires getting them done ahead of time.

Not the best picture in the world but here is my second step card. I needed a sympathy card for a friend.

Thank you ladies, I really appreciate your comments. Sympathy cards are so hard to make, especially when it is for a family of someone you do not know but the good Lord guided me on this one. My friend said that the angel and the card itself captured the essence of her friend that passed way. That really touched my heart.

Yes Retta it was probably one of the nicest things I have had someone say to me about something I have made for someone. And to top it off, my little man, who rarely pays attention to what I am making unless he thinks it might be for him told me as I was putting the card in the envelope that he liked my pretty angel card! Awwww, he is such a good boy (well most of the time LOL)

Penny, thank you so much!
