Challenge 2 - Embossing

Challenge 2 - Embossing

Postby CaseysAngel » September 27th, 2011, 11:25 am

Make a card that involves embossing - Okay so thatā€™s easy enough. If you canā€™t emboss with your cutter then you can dry emboss or use whatever method you have. Just make sure your cutter is used to do some part of the card.

This is really a very pretty card but my photography skills leave much to be desired. My husband is not in favor of "cute" Christmas cards so this is what we are sending. Emboss is using the CB and I used the Lynx to cut the border. That was way cool. Don't need to buy all those border punches. I altered a design from Bjork and it fit perfectly. Then I cut all of them out while I cooked dinner.

I love the card! Very classy indeed! The words to the song in a star shape behind the main phrase is really clever!

That is lovely!!! How did you get the words in the shape of the star??? I think this is something I need to learn how to do.

I had to take it without the flash so you could see the embossing. Sorry if it is a little dark.

Leonie, That is a georgeous card! So elegant!

Sheri, I love your snowman card. He is really cute.

And here is mine. For the first time ever, I embossed foil using the embossing tips in my Cougar. I used my Big Kick and embossing folders to emboss the paper. I may have overdone the embossing a bit. Making up for all the times I have finished a card and wished I had remembered to add some embossing, I guess.

I have the embossing tools but have not had time to try them yet. I love what it does on that foil.
