Challenge 4 - Treat Box

Beanie and Phyllis, I love how yours turned out!

I really enjoyed this challenge. I pulled together a few things I have that I hadn't used yet like my web embossing plate and my Halloween stamps. Also, I don't think you can tell from the picture, but I added some glass effects to the pumpkin to give it a shine.

Beanie - I love the quote and the bag you created. And Phyllis - yours looks great. You are WAY too hard on yourself!

Will someone tell me why my box file is different than yours? I did not get the file with the purse like handle on it. Did I do something wrong? :?

Thanks Christy and Gigi!

Phyllis, did you download it from Rachell's blog? It's the link right after the link to Sheri's blog.

I take it you can re use them or do you need seperate ones for different colors.

Suzan - I watched some videos on You Tube today and some people were using sandpaper to clean off the color remains on the stumps and another lady used the big nail files you can get at just about anywhere

Jeannette that is awesome!

Suzan, I use one of the coarse nail files used for acrylic nails and it works great.

Thanks Lisa

Suzan, they are inexpensive and you typically get a pack of them in varying sizes. I haven't used a file on mine yet, but I'll have to try that.

Yes - as Lisa said you can reuse them. I have a sanding block that I use as need be but any kind of light abrasion will work. I have one or each color family) just to make it easier (because I used to color with the pencils a lot). And you are all reminding me how much I loved it!!

Here is my treat bag. This was a cool technique, and luckily DH had some mineral spirits hanging around, so I didn't have to buy anything. I used my water color pencils, and they seemed to work fine, but I want to pick up some crayolas to see if they are better.
