If you haven't done this before and need help there is a post on my blog (or will be by in about 5 minutes it'll auto post) with a better explanation.

Here is a sample of the ones I made:

Oh, these are so cute, Christy! I have made a promise not to buy more than $5.00 worth of craft supplies until Oct. 1 -- a few more weeks to go! I'm going to make these for my grandkids, but I'll have to fake it on the glass pebbles! Lol!

Trisha -

You wouldnt get the height, but you could use either UTEE or Glossy Accents to get the shine and a similar affect - but sure you have already figured that out!! I think those are so cute too!

Yep, that's exactly what I thought I would do. But probably after the challenge is over...wildfires taking over my life, I think. Not threatening us, but I'm helping out a little.

Oh Trisha - how nice of you to help out. Glad you are not threatened. They are cropping up all over - are you in TX? Don't remember, sorry, and that is the biggest one that I have been aware of......

Please stay safe and keep us posted on how you are. A lot of us on here will be worrying about you- but it's a good thing, cuz it means we care! :bighug:

My first challenge done! It reminded me of something we used to do in Girl Guides, many years ago. We used to reuse the glass out of eye glasses, then use them as magnets or broches.

I already had the marbles in several colours, but they are small (less than 3/4"). I think they still are cute although some of the coloured ones are harder to see. I told my son I was making something for his locker. He likes them, but observed that they are all Halloween. Hmmm, I may be making more of these by the sounds of it, lol.

Thanks for the files Christy. I used them, and made a few of my own design.

To make mine, I brushed regular white glue on the backs of the marbles then adhered the image. Very easy to do. The only thing different I would do is to cut the images a little smaller. The flat part of the marble was smaller than my original cut, so I did a lot of trimming.

Thanks, Gigi! I needed that hug! And, yes, I am in Texas. We are not in the area immediately threatened, but our daughter and her family are. They live on the edge of the next neighborhood to be evacuated, right next to all that charred wasteland. Today, our SIL, GS, and older GD (11) went to the evacuation center to offer a shoulder, listen to people's stories, play with the children, etc. There are many plans for helping out, but most cannot be carried out until the fires are at least under control. Right now, this huge fire is only 50% under control. Over 2,000 families are left with absolutely nothing. There is one little church in the area whose every member lost everything. I mean everything. Things you might think could be picked out of the rubble have been burned to ash or melted. There is nothing, nothing, nothing salvageable. In a wooded area, rescue and recovery dogs found the bodies of a young mother and her young child. And the animals and livestock have nowhere to go and no one to guide them to safety either. People have to get out in such a hurry they do not have a minute to spare to save their very lives. Very sad. So much of this huge state is on fire, literally, right now. We sure do need some rain, but not the floods. Sure would appreciate everyone's prayers.

Thanks Lisa.

Trisha, I'll keep the area in my prayers. I can't imagine what you and the people in the area are going through. It must be heart wrenching to witness the devastation.
