For this challenge you will create a Shaker Card.
The instructions on how to create one are at the bottom of this post.

To complete the challenge, the shaker feature must be part of a finished card.

How to make a shaker card
The following instructions show how to add a shaker feature to your card.
What you will need:
• A card base that you will be adding your shaker feature to
• Square frame (can be out of chipboard or cardstock)
• Printed paper or cardstock to cover frame; cut using template
• Printed cardstock for background inside shaker feature
• Foam tape
• Acetate
• Tiny beads and/or other filler for in the shaker feature.

Instructions:
1. Cut square frame (attached file)
2. Cut decorative paper to cover frame (attached file)
3. Cover the frame
4. Attach the acetate to the back of frame
5. Add foam tape completely around the back of the frame. Do not leave any gaps. (Note: tiny beads are the best. If they are not tiny, you may want to double up the foam)
6. Attach background paper to your card.
7. Place beads and other items you want to be inside the frame, on the center of the background paper.
8. Remove the backing off the foam tape and place the frame on your card.
9. Finish decorating the card.

First of all , I want to thank Jeannette for helping with the SVG file - not sure why I had trouble but it eventually cut.

I will post the card tomorrow when the light is better. I combined it with the monochrome challenge. I have to learn how to make something in less than a day! LOL

But what I really want to say is this file is incredible. Jeannette didnt just make cover for the frame - it is PERFECTLY laid out so the corner folding is a no brainer (good for me! :ROFLMBO: ). It went together effortlessly and all of her directions were precise. I have made shaker cards before, but this is by far the easiest way I have ever done it and this will be a file I will use over and over again. I would not have thought to cover the frame and now you have any option you might like.

Thanks Jeannette for not only a fun challenge but a terrific file!

Thank you Gigi for the praise! I can't take originality for the idea, but I did create the file myself. I'm so glad it went together easily for you after the frustration with getting the file to show up for cutting.

Kathy, another option if you don't get a chance to get the tape, is to use craft foam and glue it on. I know my foam tape is thicker then the craft foam I have though, so for me, I would double the foam.

You are very welcome, Jeannette. I have never seen corners done that way and it was brilliant - and SO easy! Thank you!

Jeannette - what do you use to adhere the craft foam to your cardstock?
