Cute little birdhouse, Christy!! I love that you used a little cardinal for the bird! We have lots of them here, and they're fun to watch when the sprinklers are going. Oh, and -- creative use of the foil, on a patterned glittered paper. I would have been afraid that the foiling machine would melt something! Lol!!

oh I didn't foil the patterned glitter paper. I foiled white CS I printed the lattice work on and then I pnc around it. The other paper was glittered red and gold so I thought it would be cool to have the lattice gold. I don't know if I would have tried foiling glitter paper. I'm not that brave.LOL

Christy, I like the added foil on the roof. Your house is so pretty!

I forget who mentioned putting them on one tree. It would be a great looking tree with all of our houses on it.

Quicklabs, your house turned out great also. Great idea for a dog house, please post it if you create one.

Finally got the birdhouse done for my daughter. I didn't make it as an ornament, because believe me, she already has a ton of them, LOL! When she leaves home and takes them all, my tree will be quite bare! But, she really likes birdhouses, so she can just put this one in her room. The "shingles" were made with Tim Holtz grunge paper.

I love your birdhouse CeCe.. that looks awesome. I like the shingles better than the lattice. How did you design them to cut on the cougar?? Would you be able to share the file for those?

Well maybe, LOL! I tried once, and the forum did not post my reply. I'm glad you like the shingles. They are just MTC basic shape rectangles that I warped a little. I will attach the file. Oh, and the "shingles" across the top are just plain rectangles.

Birdhouse Ornaments

Postby conicuts » July 24th, 2011, 6:07 pm

I made these 3 today and barely got them done before the challenge ended!
These were a lot of fun to make and it was a great file to cut and assemble!
Thanks for looking... :)
