Challenge 22- In honor of Scrappy Dew and SVG cuts

Postby CaseysAngel » July 7th, 2011, 9:57 pm

I wanted to take a challenge to dedicate to Rob over at Scrappy Dew as well as to Leo at SVG cuts. Rob has always been so wonderful to sponsor our crops and is always so generous in doing so. Leo has already donated everytime he was asked to my knownledge. So I wanted to have a challenge honoring them and their amazing files.

If you don't own any files from http://www.scrappydew.com or http://www.svgcuts.com they have freebies often that they so graciously share with us and i encourage you to download and try them!!!!!!! They are wonderful.

The first card was made by Sheri Corwins. Isn't it beautiful? This is from Rob at http://www.scrappydew.com Christmas set. It's a wonderful set and I love it. Thanks Sheri for helping me out when my printer went flop.LOL

And this one is from Leo (well I guess it's proably from Mary lol) at http://www.svgcuts.com . I LOVED making this bag but I wish I would have used pattern paper after I got it all together. I can't wait to make more though.

I encourage all of you to check out both of these sites for some amazing files!!!! For this challenge you are to use a file from www.scrappydew.com or www.svgcuts.com

Thanks guys for your continued support!!!!!

Here is something I made with a file from SVG cuts (it's their Snowman Village one).
I made the hockey player snowman and added a little sign with a Christmas greeting (from Canada).
You can't really see it in the picture but it is a three dimensional bag/container sort of thing. I'm not sure I'd trust my gluing enough to use it as an actual bag, with anything heavy in it, but I think it would be cute on a table or a mantle with a few pine or holly sprigs in it. Right now the back is blank but if you wanted to use it as say a center piece on a table I think you could just make another detailled snowman for the back part and it would look good from either side.
