CHALLENGE 18- Dana's Color Challenge

CHALLENGE 18- Dana's Color Challenge

Postby CaseysAngel » July 7th, 2011, 9:16 pm

Challenge #18: Dana’s Color Challenge

Okay, this color CHALLENGE is going to be different from any of the other ones that I have hosted. Here are the rules:
1. You must use black or white but not both
2. You must use at least three other colors of YOUR choice, but no more than three colors!
3. Your project can be a card, layout, paper project, tile, anything you want, but it must ONLY contain YOUR three colors and either black or white. This includes any print & cut image you might use.
4. Once someone has posted their color combination intentions, you may not use those color combinations in your project. It must be unique to you.
5. Please post color swatches and label the color name when posting your color combination intentions.
6. You have 10 hours from the time that you posted your intentions to post an image of your completed color combination project. This means the entire project, not just a file.
7. If your color combination project is not posted in that time, then those color combinations are up for grabs again.
8. I did say that this was a CHALLENGE right? The following color combinations are NOT ALLOWED in this Christmas challenge, but you can use these colors in other combinations.
Red, green, silver, white
Red, green gold, white
Red, green, silver, black
Red, green, gold, black

Here is a sample of colors to give a swatch: HINT be specific with naming your colors, i.e.; A brighter color of “Magenta” could be “Raspberry”. You are not limited to these colors… just giving you a nudge.

Ok, I'm jumpin' in!!! Here is a photo of my colors. I'm calling them aquamarine, celery and grape. I will be making Christmas cards for my cats, who are young, fun loving, and prefer non-traditional Christmas colors. Hope to post results before midnight, EST.

Okay this is Very unfair challenge. You give 10 hours to complete it but I"ll spend 7 of those running back and forth to the potty, 2 of them taking a nap from wearing myself out going to the potty, 45 minutes trying to pick colors, and by then I might as well give up.

Sheri, that is really pretty. The tree is lovely.

My first attempt at a card for my cats is pretty horrible! I would have to rub it with salmon to get them to like it! Will try again tomorrow, but my 10 hour time limit will have passed.

Well, here is my project. A funky card for my cats. I used Inkscape to design the Santa Hat and the Kitty nose, and that is about the only thing that I am loving about this card!
