Challenge 1 - Christmas Cookie Recipe
By Sheri Corwin

Hi Everyone, I have provided a file for the 6" X 8" recipe card. This is the same one that we used for a previous challenge but we are adding to it. Print and Cut my 6" X 8" recipe card for yourself. Take the template and change it up with your own embellishments, colors, fonts, etc. for Christmas Cookies and repost here so that we can all share them. When you post yours then we all can print and cut them and make a recipe book out of them. (I typed the recipe up in Word, used the snipping tool to capture it, pixel traced it into MTC and aligned it where I wanted it.) I canā€™t wait to see your fabulous cookie recipes. The font for my recipe card is my very own made by Dana!

What a great idea Sheri! I might need to add recipe pages to Dana's organizer book!

Good idea using your handwriting font! I got mine back from her ages ago and now that my printer is working again I can tweak a couple of letters and get it final.

Here is my recipe card.
Of course I used Sheri's base, but I also used her lettering for "Christmas Cookies". I think it looks really nice. I may change the color when I find what paper I am going to use, but it will stay green.

The Mrs. Santa graphic is one I drew a long time ago to put on a ceramic plate to go along with Mr. Santa.
I didn't have her all colored so I have spent most of the day working on her. I have her positioned slightly below the cut line so that when the PnC is done she will match the curvature of the card. Or, at least, that is my hope. I swiped the gingerbread guys off the tray Mrs Santa is holding. I just manipulated them a little. They were all brought in as textures.

I did the recipe a little different. I wrote it within a 6 1/2 x 3 1/2 box in my graphic software then saved it as a .png file. I created the same size rectangle in MTC using basic shapes and imported it as a texture. I think that worked fine. You can read it much better in person than you can on the screen. The lettering is also my print handwriting that Dana did for me.

These are great.

You know I suggested to the ladies in skype last night that I think I will make Beanie's word book in the shape of Sheri's cards. That way I can put all the recipe cards in it and bind them and have my own little book. I probably won't bind with my cinch so I will be able to add to them but I can use binder rings!!!!!
Just a thought incase anyone else is interested.

My first one. This was fun I completed my first one and had fun doing it. I am not sure how to make a jpg of it since I am fairly new to make the cut. Let me know if I did something wrong this is my first time doing something like this.
