Update on me...

Re: Update on me...

Postby Angel135612 » September 25th, 2014, 10:55 pm

Well, we got the carpet installed in the downstairs on Tuesday, and I got a new computer desk, and that was delivered on Tuesday as well. So now my computer is back together, and all we have left is the finishing touches, and then the dreaded UNpacking of everything. I will be trying to go through everything as we unpack, and get rid of stuff we don't want or need any longer. But that is going to take some time... but then in 2 months, I will have a lot more time to spend on puttering around the house.

Everything looks so nice and new... it is like moving into a new house.. with out changing our address. :-)

I'm still not sure where I'm going to be putting all of my machines, but I'm anxious to get them set up so I can start being crafty again.

I would rather pack than unpack! Good luck with the process, Diane. That two months will fly by for you, with so much going on at home.

PennyDuncan You can come visit me and help me unpack everything and organize it :D

@Elizabeth I'm with you I would rather pack than unpack... but I'm probably going to wait for most of it to be done after I retire... so I can take my time and decide where I want everything, or if I even want to keep it. But I need to do it for the entire house that we packed, not just my crafting stuff.

I'm just happy I have my computer back.. and don't have to do everything on my iPad.

We certainly could!! This organizational thing is an addiction - I love when I redo things but that just lasts so much time. Doing it for someone else would be a good thing since I could get it all nice and neat and then leave before I want to do it all over again! :banghead: :banghead:

Gigi You are more than welcome to come help me organize all my stuff!!!!! The more the merrier. I just don't have a clue as to how I want to set everything up, or where I want to put it all... or even if I have enough racks, shelves etc to put everything away. But I have a feeling my room is going to be packed to the brim by the time I get everything into it.

We could have a Retirement/House Warming/Organization party at my house. :D :D

LOL Diane - the down side of unpacking is figuring out where to put all of it - and then that usually requires changing several times in the process as unexpected things appear! Right? At least that is what happens to me. I get it all figured out and then realize there is another box - or something doesn't work the way I thought it would.....or whatever! It's crazy making stuff!! I know it will be wonderful - and a party is a great way to celebrate success.

Seriously - I am really excited for you. Cannot wait to see what all you do. It will probably make me want to reorganize - yet again!! LOL

This is what I get to unpack now. Oh Joy! At least I have a clean slate to start with, and can just move boxes out of my way, not lots of little stuff. Just need to decide where I want everything.

LOL Penny - that was the first thing I noticed - and all in the same size boxes. Mine are usually in a wide variety of boxes precariously teetering one on top of the rest!! I think it all looks really exciting. Ohhhhhh the possibilities!! :)

The only reason they are in same size boxes, we were still planning on moving when I started to pack up my craft room. It wasn't until later that we decided to stay. The problem is, I don't know what is in what boxes, even though I did write on the box a few items in each box. I ended up just putting what ever I coud fit into the box in them...to not use any more boxes than I needed to.
