and he loves it. SAid it has been snowing a little. Guess who I will have to see when I come visit?! YOU!!! It was funny because when he found out he was getting Fort Carson, his SGT told him..." you little sh**, I've been trying to get Fort Carson since I joined and still haven't gotten it and you get it on your first try.".

That is great Kim!!! I'm sure he will love it here. Let me know when you are coming out to visit him and we will have to make arrangements to meet.
Yes we have been getting a little snow.. but it doesn't stay for long. I just hope we don't get a lot of snow... I hate May snow... it's wet and heavy.... but we can use the moisture. I just want it to stay up in the mountains and melt into the lakes and rivers instead of in town.

OH Kim, when I retire, hopefully within a year, we plan on moving to MS, just south of the TN border. So I will be closer to you. Not sure where in LA you are, but perhaps we would be close enough to get together from time to time. I am so looking forward to retiring, I'm not sure I can wait another year... LOL.

You will be closer to me. :) If you look at a map, I am in North LA in between Monroe and Shreveport off of I-10. Where in Mississippi? I have a BFF that lives in South Haven.

Kim, We are looking at moving to Horn Lake/Southhaven area. We went and visited the area just a week ago, to see if it was some place we would want to live, and really liked the area. Saw some houses that we like, and now it is just a matter of getting my house ready to sell, and retiring. I'm looking at next spring before I retire.

Excited for you, Diane! How fun to plan a retirement and a big move!

Good for your DS, Kim. Sounds like a wonderful area for his first assignment!
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
