Gigi, did you just feel the earthquake, looks like it was centered in La Habra, I didn't, but Bryan did.

No I didn't!! Glad I didn't!! It's been a few years since I felt one and that was when it was centered over closer to you I think. Yikes - hate those things even when they are little tremors.....

Glad you are ok. My kids probably felt it as they are closer to La Habra.

I was vacuuming, didn't feel it. And being on sand we don't feel them as strong as Los Angeles would. Glad you didn't feel it. I think La Habra is near Corona, so about an 1 hour away. Bryan felt it, he isn't used to them. He is a Michigan boy.

LOL - you are probably right about Bryan. Unfortunately, we get accustomed to the minor shaking.
I can still remember being a child and having one hit while I was in bed in the morning - it knocked me out of bed and all of my mother's china was rattling in her glass buffet. Some things you just don't forget!! Let's hope there are no more rumblings anytime soon......

Glad you guys are okay and didn't feel a thing! So glad there wasn't ever an earthquake when I was in CA. I would be the crazy person running down the street screaming! Tornados and Hurricances I can handle. You get warnings and can take shelter. Earthquakes are not predictable and there is no where to go. UGH.

So true Kim, although they are getting a little better about predicting. But thankfully they don't happen every year so it's rare that we have to really deal with them. I have lived my whole life in CA so don't see myself leaving anytime soon!! Just have to deal with this unknown and hope and pray nothing hits here with any strength......

Have to agree with Gigi, I hate them with a passion. And I am not a hater of too many things, but Gigi and I are fortunate we live in a more sand based area and that will help absorb the shocks. The worst quake we were in was the Hector mine quake, it was centered about 30 miles from us and it was a 7.2. Scary yes, very, I was a mad women trying to get Valerie, and the dogs and cats and Bryan in a door way. It happened around 3 in the morning, then Bryan had to leave and go check all his pool accounts to make sure there was no damage such as cracks and such, while he was gone we lost power. Valerie and I and all the animals were huddled on the couch. I can laugh now, but it wasn't fun then.

I know it is all about what we are used to. LOL.....and I am used to hurricanes and tornados. Although I have to admit that I am not too comfortable here where we can't have a basement or underground shelter. Just thankful that you guys are safe and no damage.

Thanks Kim for checking on us. Apparently there have been hundreds of aftershocks - much lower in intensity. Grateful not to be feeling those.....
