Concordia girls.....

I think we kind of talked about our grandma when we purchased that book. After I read it I realized our grandma was probably not going to make it very long. She passed away this morning. I do have to say that the book prepared me and I was able to tell the kids what I thought about grandma. It is sad, but I am glad my grandma did not get as bad as in the book. She did become wheel chair bound, but she was always able to get out of bed. She is now in a better place and not in pain anymore.

Just thought I would share that was the best purchase from there :)

Trisha, I'm so sorry. I am glad that young lady's book helped prepare you for what was inevitable. I can't remember the title or I would share with this group. There may be others here on the forum that would benefit from reading her book. Keeping you and your family in my prayers.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Stacy (my sister) had the book at her house when I posted and she was here, so I had her call and give me the book information when she got home. It is by Ashley Richter called Absent minded an Alzheimer's Story, she is 15 years old and goes to the school we had the retreat at. It was very easy to read and had a lot of information.
