Will continue to say prayers for all. Strangely enough, that was the illness that I thought of when I read the problems he was having, i just couldn't think of it's proper name to type it in at the time. I hope that he does well and is back to all of his activities sooner rather than later.

Thank you all so much for the prayers. This is the latest update from his mom:

Every day Christian Rockwell is feeling better. His sensation is coming back a little each day. We are still looking for his mobility to come back, and i believe it will. Keep up the prayers! God is going to heal him 100% in Jesus name and get ALL the glory!

Yesterday was a really good day for him, because one of the teachers at his school came and he brought 18 of his friends with him. They also were able to take him (still in the hospital bed) and push him around outside in the sunshine.

My mother in law could use a little prayer too. She is in her mid 70's and is taking care of Robin's other children, my Father in law with his broken hip, and my sister in law's 3 small children. She is feeling very overwhelmed with having 5 kids and her husband to care for right now.

Picture of Christian today in the hospital getting a certificate for his bravery. He is keeping good spirits, but I read on his dad's Facebook page that it will be 7-8 months at least before he is able to begin walking again. He is getting some feeling back and is able to move his arms now but not any in his legs. His parents are praying and trusting God for a complete healing that is much faster than the doctors are suggesting.

Glad to hear he is continuing to mend, albet more slowly then we might all like. I have been aware of this disease with some people and it does take time to recover. Will continue to pray that he will recover as quickly as possible. It is so hard to have a teenager having to deal with all of that.

My Uncle (Mom's brother) has GB. He had a flair when he was in his 40's that took a couple of months to heal then he was healthy until about 2 years ago. Now he's in his 60's and the attack he had back then was much more severe. He still has some limited movement in his arms but after a lot of physical therapy, he's able to walk unassisted.

Prayers being said for you and your family.

I'm sorry, I don't know. I just know what it did to my uncle. I hope that Christin being so young will make his recovery must faster. Plus with the advances in medicine, there is bound to be a better course of treatment than my uncle had. It took months for them to figure out what was wrong with him.

I will tell you to advise all close blood relatives of Christin before they get a flu shot. I've been advised not to get it. My Mom has been told NOT to.

Good to know about flu shots. I would not have known there could be issues and I had not heard that from his mom. I don't get them cause of being scared of needles anyways and he is actually blood relative to my husband not myself. I will let the other members of the family know there could be an issue and to discuss it with their doctors before they get one. I am sure Christian did not get one because his mom is very crunchy and into alternative meds. She is always posting stuff about the issues with vaccinations, fluoride and such. Pretty sure my inlaws do get them.

:( Today his mom posted that the first diagnosis is wrong. Christian actually has Transverse Myelitis and the doctors are now telling her that the damage his spin sustained is such that it is probable that he will never walk again.....

Very heavy hearts....

Please pray.
