We have a well and pump, so when the power is out, the pump is out, and no flushing can happen! Our power goes out often enough that we have a generator.

I also keep a few gallons of water in the basement, in case I can't get the generator started. Hate to wait to flush until Hubby gets home!

I have had the no power AND the no flushing...power out is a complete nuisance, I can muster through...no water, now that is a tragedy!!

I so agree, Lisa. I can make it without power, but water is a royal pain!
