Straw tumblers

Straw tumblers

Postby newbiecat » January 13th, 2013, 2:21 pm

Hi all

Coming up to my grandsons birthday and I have been asked if I could make some of these instead of party bags for the children attending

Been searching the net for ages and all I can find are the disposable kind ( like I brought to the retreat) but what I want is the resuable kind. The nearest thing I have found is on the Asda site,

http://direct.asda.c...default,pd.html

but they only seem to be in one colour and I really wanted clear so that I can use up all sorts for vinyl that I have.

There are simply masses available in the USA but I havent found any here if the UK

If anyone on this forum can give me the names of the makes perhaps I can try searching by that, all I keep doing is ending up on USA websites which makes the whole cost + timing just doesnt work out

- any help - links or suggestions very gratefully received

Thanks

I don't know if this will help, but here is a link to a set of 2 at WalMart... I know you don't have WalMart there in the UK, but Asda is owned by the same parent company, and I would ask if they could possibly order the product in?

These don't have the straws, but I wondered if you could put your own straw in the lid or not.

I tried checking Asda and Argos to see if any tumblers were shown, but I didn't find any. I know around here, tumblers are a seasonal item from Summer to Fall... they go on clearance as the college kids go back to school.

newbiecat I couldn't get Pandora's link to work either. Part of the address is missing it appears. However, I did a search for what I think she is talking about on their site and came up with this link it shows its blue color and presently in stock: http://direct.asda.com/Straw-Tumbler/00 ... lt,pd.html

Under specifications it says the brand is "Cool Gear" if that helps you any

I found these on the following UK site but you would need to order a minimum of 50 looks like! :? Do you want to do 50 for his closest friends and family?!?! ;)
http://www.4imprint.co.uk/search/tumble ... um-Tumbler

Then I found this link from Cool Gear's website with list of distributors around the world: http://www.coolgearinc.com/cool_gear_distributors.html
Go Vols!

I saw this brand yesterday and wondered if it might work...not as economical as the $ store kind. Have you looked for them at the Pound Stores?

Hi all

thank you so much for trying to help, unfortunately I keep running into the same issue - they just don't seem to be available at a reasonable price here it the UK. The nearest I have found are £14 each and since it is for a 4 year olds birthday party and school rules insist you have to invite the entire class (18) plus his other friends it just doesn't make financial sense.

So now I am making individual pop cakes with their names as a bookmark/ tag. Still with approximately 25 children with their parents etc - that is going to take me a while

So octonauts here we come !

thank you again for trying to help out

Wow, that is expensive! Sounds like you have a great alternative, though. Have fun with the party!

I'm not sure about shipping to you- but I use DiscountMugs.com
I use them for tumblers and water bottles.
They have a discount code Valentines10 until February
