Wishing everyone a Happy New Year . . .

Postby whizzy » December 30th, 2012, 11:05 pm

We're heading off soon & going to a 1950s themed combined 60th birthday party/new year's eve (sitting here with rollers in hair — lol) We're going as Ward & June Cleaver from "Leave it to Beaver" after figuring lots of people will probably go as 20 somethings, wearing poodle skirts etc!) Should be lots of fun! Anyhoo, have a wonderful New Year's Eve, stay safe & drive carefully, most of all ENJOY!

Sounds like a great party! Have fun!!!

Happy New Year to all. (After a trip to the mall with my younger DD and her BFF, I will be enjoying the festivities at home with DH and the kids. Elder DD and her BF will join us at some point, after spending part of the evening with his family.)

Happy New Year Everyone! We are going to have a very quiet New Years this year with just the 3 of us. I am sick, my son is sick, and my husband is fighting it and so far not really sick but not well either. We will stay home, toast the new year with some frozen strawberry daquiri type of drink (good for all our sore throats!) and watch movies. I wish we were not sick but glad to have the 3 of us together likely for the last time for a while since son will be moving out for Grad school in the fall (well at least he sure hopes to be) and anyways if he were well, I am sure he would have more exciting plans than being with mom and dad at home for New Years Eve!

Don't feel lonely, we too are sick, Bryan is the sickiest he has a bad case of bronchitis, and me I am sniffly, so we cancelled the party for tonight, will have it Friday night just a quiet night who am I kidding doing a skype challenge with friends, it will get pretty noisy across the USA. Everyone be safe, don't drink and drive it just isn't worth it.
