Ranger Melting Pot opinion wanted . . .

I used it for the first time today — melted candle wax, added some lavender oil spike & a sprinkle of Pearl Ex powder & made a cupcake candle.
Cleaned it thoroughly & then washed the tray out with detergent & hot water because I suddenly remembered I really wanted to melt some chocolate in it.

My question is do you think I can safely melt chocolate in it now that it has had those other ingredients in it?
I would definitely not use the same tray for food if I'd baked Fimo or Sculpey in it but as far as I know candle wax & lavender oil shouldn't be a problem.
I do intend to purchase another tray & keep specifically for food, just at the moment I can't get hold of one.

It's probably fine, but you could line it with tin foil and there should definitely not be a problem...

That's a good idea!
Will do that for the time being.
Thanks :)
