I will be studying to take tests, yep tests. I will be enrolling back to school come the fall term taking a few basic courses that term then in November will be hopefully starting nursing school .

Ok. I have tried to post this twice..let's see if it goes through this time!

Rachell, good luck to you! Don't stress the algebra! I remember when I took the college placement test how scared I was of algebra! I did not do so well on the test and had to start at the beginning and work my way up to college algebra. Let me explain to you how algebra works:

When you are in kindergarten and first grade you learn to write your ABC's and numbers. You are told NOT to mix them. Then you ge to middle school. Your teacher wants you to find the value of A. There is no way you can find the value of A because A is a letter, not a number! We learned that in kindergarten!

Or, maybe it is because I am a right brain person and just don't get the math! :ROFLMBO:

Good for you!!! And you will do just fine. Believe it or not, a lot of everyday stuff invoives algebra...we just don't really see it as algebra.

Kim, that is EXACTLY what my daughter said to me when I was struggling with algebra! Of course, she has her teaching degree in math and her master's in counseling! (We were in college at the same time, but at different schools...AND I was a bit behind her..she was my "long distance tutor".) I have to disagree with her! "A" cannot be a number!!

well I hope I do well. took one pre test today not for math but for another part of it and didn't do to bad got 590 points out of 600 so I can do at least some of what is on the test. now to study and do the math pre test tomorrow and the real test for all next week.

Thanks all it will be my third time back at college so hoping to make this my third degree and hopefully beable to find a job in two years, by that time I hope things will be on a good steady ride.
