My DH is a manager at one of the largest grocery store chains in our area. If you are a Rewards Card Member with this store, and if you spend 50.00 before sales tax, you receive 5 cents off per gallon of gas on your next gas purchase.
DH says to me, "Well, you better be buying more craft stuff." I thought it was odd. Then I thought, maybe he was trying to tell me to stay home and not drive so much (I don't drive that much at all!). He goes to get the new add for the store and I browse through it. What he meant was "Kraft" stuff!
Ok it gets better! If you spend 50.00 and in that 50.00 you purchase 5 Kraft items, you save 10 cents per gallon on gas. The lowest priced item available is 2.49, so you buy 5 of those, it is 12.45. So I spend 12.45 to save 5 cents per gallon. And if I need 12 gallons of gas, that would be a 60 cent savings. Ummmm something is not adding up right! I could forgo the "Kraft" items, and pay the extra 5 cents per gallon, and will be saving 11.85 by NOT buying those Kraft items! And then I could buy "craft" items!
Just sayin'!
