Prayers please for my dear MIL

Hello all my dear cyber-friends,

I would like to request prayers for Mary Allan, my other-mother.

On the first day of her Hawaiian vacation, her hip broke while walking in the PX on base to shop for groceries. That was on Friday. She had surgery with a pin put in on Saturday, and today they discovered suspicious spots on her bones in her x-rays. This wonderful, brave, gallant lady has already successfully fought breast cancer and won, now this. They still need to figure out how to get her home, let alone what to do to treat her...

My heart is breaking for her and for my DH, we've always thought his dad would go first, now we're not so sure...

Dear Lord, we ask that you hold these dear people in your loving arms. That you would be with Mary Allan as she is in pain and needs healing for her broken hip. Lord please be with the doctors so they know how to help her and how to treat this new discovery. As always we ask you for complete healing. She is loved and needed by her family. We also know you live her. We just pray that through all this your presence would be ever felt and that the peace and wisdom that only you can give would be there. With our live for who you are and all you do, we ask this in your name!! Amen.

Is this the week for hip woes? Same thing happened to my MIL, she fell in her home breaking both her hip and wrist/arm, and just came out of surgery. I was petrified, as she is 88.

Mary made it back home from Hawaii at about 2 a.m. Friday.

There is a daughter and SIL staying at the house to care for her.

I'll let you know more when I know more, but at least she made it home.

Heard yesterday (Sunday) that it was actually her femur (the long leg bone) and NOT her hip that broke.

She is supposed to get the test results from Hawaii on those suspicious spots on her bones sometime today...
