Some prayers needed

Some prayers needed

Postby JeannetteC » September 29th, 2011, 5:35 pm

My niece's daughter who is 7 years old was in the hospital with issues with her blood count. They managed to get the counts to go up slightly, so let her go home yesterday and go to school today, but on restricted activity. She's back in the hospital tonight and her counts are depleted again. :( This niece went through a lot when she was pregnant with Taylor, being hospitalized and restricted to bed from her 21st week on, but managed to hold off until 35th week to have a beautiful, healthy baby girl. We said a lot of prayers during that time and were on pins and needles not knowing if the drugs and hospital care would allow the pregnancy to continue.

These blood results really scare me. Tonight, they are consulting with another hospital 2 hours away that Tammy spent most of her pregnancy at. We don't know yet whether they will continue to treat her at the local hospital or send her to the other one.

Please, if you are able to keep her and her family in your prayers that this will not be anything serious and that they will be able to solve what's causing the counts to be so low, I would really appreciate it. TIA

Thanks for the prayers. I've been so lucky with my own children and no real health issues that it tears on me for what they are going through.

Dear Lord, you brought Taylor and her mom through a lot to get her here. You know what is wrong. and you know how to heal her. We are begging you to give the doctors wisdom and healing for her. We ask that it be something simple. That she would be well quickly. Lord we lay this in your loving hands and thank you so much for hearing us.

Amen

Thanks CeCe and Lisa.
I just checked with my mom to see if she has any updates.
They have Taylor back on IV and antibiotics in the hospital and are waiting a bit to see if that helps. I haven't had a chance to talk to my niece because they are crazy busy trying to cover the 'shifts' at the hospital. New requirements of the hospital is that the family has to ensure they have someone with her around the clock. With a 5 year old and two full time jobs, it's quite the challenge. Thankfully they do have family nearby who are able to help.
I'll let you know when I have any new info.

With all of their works shifts that is a big ask from the hospital but if she was mine I would be glued to her. Our hospitals try to get rid of you at night unless it is a private one. All hospitals used to have 2 two hour visits a day. One in the afternoon and one in the evening. I like it better now especially for children.
Still praying and I hope it is just an infection.
