Michaels Coupon neat thing I learned today

My printer hasn't been hooked up since I moved my area. So I went to Michaels today and told the lady at the register, I received a coupon but couldn't print it. She told me if I had a smart phone and brought up the email with the coupon she could scan the bar code right off my phone. Not that I like or even could figure out how to get it working right with a line of people behind me. But in a pinch it would have been great.

Yep, I found out about that about a month ago.. and I make sure I have the coupon on my phone before I get in line, or while I'm waiting in line.. works great, and I don't have to think about printing out the coupons, if I decide to run by Michaels on my way home from work one day.

so I am guessing one could use the coupon on their smart phone multiple times - a couple of times during the week the coupon is good for -- right?

Yep They actually have an app for that!!! LOL I downloaded it a couple of months back and it works WONDERFUL...Also...Joann's has an app to that you can view your coupons on it for them to scan....It's WONDERFUL!!!!!

Penny, Where did you find the app for the coupons? That may be easier than getting to my coupons through my email.

I love that I don't have to print out the coupons any more. And I didn't know J's uses the coupons on the smart phones.

Well I have an IPhone 4 so I just go to the application finder through the Itunes store.......and type in Michaels and Joann's then it shows me the app to download.....BUT.....if you go to their websites......

I only text a lot now because that is how our tech's check in and out of jobs, and we send them additional info. Plus Valerie's cell phone plan has limited minutes so she always text's us. I don't enjoy it.

I started texting because it was the ONLY way for my older kids (well 2 out of the 3) to respond!!! And it's still hit and miss with the youngest, but if he is going to communicate it will be via a text!! Gotta keep up with this younger generation cuz I refuse to admit I am getting older!

Even with the app - still check online for coupons, cause sometimes they have some that you don't get on their phone app. You can also sign up to receive texts from them, they send them out once in a blue moon and it is usually a discount/coupon type text.

Hobby lobby does this to. I don't have internet on my phone but it's sure neat if you did!!
