My Uncle who is only a few years older than me is on dialysis as his kidneys have been failing for a long time. He needs a kidney. I asked my doctors if I could donate one of mine because of my health issues and meds I have to take. One said I don't think I would do that; other said maybe. So, now I don't know what to do and my liver enzymes are up and Red Cross said they won't take my blood because of my med's so not sure they would even take it. So please pray that someone in our family matches or that they find someone that matches him. I would sincerely appreciate your prayers; he needs to be around for his kid's weddings and all that stuff. And I love him dearly; he was more like a big brother to me than an uncle. I think we have had enough grief in the last couple of years; I don't want anymore. So thank you for any prayer for him!

Meme - they are very particular when someone gives a kidney as it is usually harder on them than it is on the recipient. My cousin just got one from his brother-in-law. He is doing well and will have the other bad kidney removed in January. I pray that they will find a great match for your uncle and those that can give, will put themselves out there to do it. Hugs honey!

Prayers for you Meme!! I'm so sorry to hear this. I also have a young man from my church that is needing a kidney transplant due to cancer. He has very young twins and in desperate need of a transplant. Prayers for all.
