humor for you! Edited: more bug issues!

Ok, this is kind of embarrassing, but here goes. Yesterday, my husband asked if I had plans for the day. (He works on Saturdays.) I told him no. He asked if I would mind stripping the bed (he just did this on Wednesday when he did laundry) because he thought we had bed bugs! He said that he keeps getting black things on him in bed! I asked if he could feel them crawling or if he had any bites and he said no. I KNEW I had not found anything crawling!! I freaked out! I did the research to see what to look for, stripped the bed, and searched in all crevices. I could not find ANYTHING!!

I left the bedding off so he could "inspect" the bed himself when he came home. I told him what I did. He goes upstairs and comes back down with this little, teeny tiny black thing in his hand. I could barely see it! t was smaller than a piece of rice! I put it under a magnifying glass, and it was FUZZ off of a blanket that I use!!!! He said, "Oh, I thought they were bugs". :banghead: :banghead:

Mary that is funny but I am paranoid about bed bugs also. It scares me to death when we have to stay in a motel, a thorough search happens. I usually know the difference between the lint though.

Funny! Thank goodness it was only fuzz!
We encountered this issue at a camp we took a large group of Girl Guides and Pathfinders to. It was a regional event with lots of girls/leaders. It was a nice place with rustic rooms, with large shared bathrooms between each set of rooms. I woke up in the early morning hours to the adjoining room of leaders talking and stripping their beds. They found bedbugs in their room/beds! We had already told all the girls that they had to have all their possessions packed up before breakfast. Instead, we had to try to check all their stuff without causing a panic! I think I took 3 weeks and many loads through the dryer before I was willing to bring anything back into our house. We were lucky that they hadn't spread from that one room. Still gives me the eeby jeebies.

My dd did the hotel search for us recently as her bf had bedbugs last year in his dorm room. So that has made her paranoid. No bedbugs, thankfully!

Just thought made me want to itch! I will start bringing a flashlight with me when we go on vacation! We are leaving in two weeks and are staying at 3 different places! OMG I am really starting to panic! Maybe I need to get one of those dogs that sniffs out bed bugs before we go!

What are bed bugs? Are they like fleas? Or lice? Why do you guys have your own breed of bugs that like beds? Ewww, now I am thinking of that one nasty motel I stayed in in the USA. I can deal with fuzz.

ok, ready for more? LOL I went to lunch with a friend that I had not seen for a couple of years. On the way back to work, I was telling her about the story of the bed bugs. We had our windows down slightly and this bug flew in the window and landed on my friend's shirt! She kept yelling at me to get it off of her and we were both laughing so hard, I couldn't grab it! Wouldn't you know....it was a stink bug!!!!! I rode back to work with my hand out the window so that it would not smell up the car! Never a dull moment!

Must be my week for bugs! First, DH thinking fuzz is the same as bed bugs...then the stink bug in my friend's car.

Today, I went to the doctor to treat a plantar wart. I knew before hand they used catharidin, a poisonous chemical released by the blister beetle. Ok, I am ok with that...but when I got home and started reading about catharidin, it says it is also released by the Spanish Fly and can be used as an aphrodisiac!!!!! DON'T tell my husband! LOL (But only if taken orally!)
