I'm so sorry CeCe. I can tell from reading your posts about your mom how enormous this loss is, and how much you will her.

Oh my, no need to apologize Penny.

Once again thank you to all of you for your concern and mostly your prayers. I must tell you that the last couple of days, I have really felt at peace about my mother. God is most certainly heeding your prayers and giving me great comfort. I certainly miss her, but I am remembering the good times and trusting that she is among the Heavenly Hosts. Of course I expect the next couple of days to have its share of challenges, with the viewing and the funeral, but I also know that with my family for support and also the support of this family here on the forum, that I will be just fine. Thank you again my dear friends.

Once again, thank you everyone. It went rather well I think, and I truly felt all the love and prayers surrounding me. Now, I would like to share a few things with you. My mother was sort of an "animal whisperer". All animals were just naturally drawn to her. We had all kinds of pets, but mostly cats and dogs. And a parakeet or two. But she even fed a wild squirrel by hand. It came to the window everyday to be fed by her.

Well, last Sunday, the day after she died, I was all alone as dh was at work. I went out to my garage, and a chipmunk was just sitting there. Anyone who knows chipmunks know they don't do that. They are not calm animals. I even took pix of it. And it eventually let me "escort" it out of my garage by gently giving it little pushes with my broom!

Chipmunk.jpg

Well, the next day as dh and I were in the kitchen a bird starting making a huge racket to which dh asked what it was. I said it was a bird, he looked out the window, and said, yep, it's a bird. He then laughed and said that my mother was now "tweeting" me!

At the cemetery, a beautiful butterfly came and visited some flowers right where I was standing, including flowers that my dh's family had sent to me. It then flew to my sister's flowers that she and her family had sent. She is the sister I am closest to, and then it flew away.

Now, a little background. My oldest sister who passed away about 3 years ago, was just a big kid at heart. She used to bring my mother silly stuffed animals all the time, including animated ones. Well, my mother's favorite was Babe, the pig. If you squeezed it's arm, it "talked". She had this pig with her at the hospice, keeping it in bed with her. Well, on the morning after the funeral, my dh turned on the TV and left it at a movie. I asked what he was watching, and he said some movie. We watched a few minutes and then realized it was "Babe"!!! How incredible was that? It really gave me a sense of peace. I know some people will say that it was all just random acts. I don't feel that way though. I felt as though it was God's way of communicating that my mother is indeed with him in Heaven. What joy!

Also, my niece was attempting to explain to my 4 year old great nephew what had happened to MeMa. That she had died, and now was with Jesus in Heaven. He looked at her and then asked, "How did she get out of her body?" Isn't that profound? 4 years old! I think that is why Jesus tells us that unless we become like little children, we will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Well, just my sharing, and my opinion.

Once again, a huge thank you to all for you prayers and support through this difficult time. Love and hugs,
CeCe
