WRAPPER EFFECT

Can anyone help me with the "wrapper effect"? Trying to cut different stencils to lay on a wine glass to etch them. Having difficulty putting the stencil on the wine glass because of the rounded shape. I've tried a few different measurements in the wrapper effect but nothing seems to be working. Should I use diameter, radius or circumference? Also, should I use the slant height or vertical height. How do I go about getting those measurements? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! I have watched a few video's, but they're really not specific on the questions that I have.

I don't use SCAL regularly so really can't address throughly. However, as I understand it, like with other programs with similar tool, it was primarily intended for use on more conical shapes like cupcake wrappers and such. It is not really meant for completely "round" objects like round wine glasses or round/spherical objects like round glass ornaments.

For SCAL specific questions like this, you might get faster help from someone on the SCAL support forums. http://forum.surecutsalot.com

I did a quick search there for threads with "wrapper" in it and found several so you might look through those and see if you can find any more specific information.

If you still can't find the information that you need, I would log a support ticket with SCAL asking if it is possible to use on spherical objects.
