Stroke size?

Stroke size?

Postby suemcnenly » January 23rd, 2016, 10:45 am

Hi there. Long time!

I feel like I'm missing something. I've got a small project to do, and I'm cutting out a font. All good, except I want it a bit thicker, but I can't find anywhere in the software to increase the stroke size? Since this is such a basic thing, I know it's got to be in there somewhere, but I can't find it....perhaps I'm staring right at it! ;) I don't want to have to create it all in Illustrator and bring it over, simply because I've got a lot to do and I don't want to add an extra step. Help please.

oooops....update....appears that no matter what I make it look like in Illustrator, then bring over to SCAL, it still wants to cut the narrow letters. So....new question....how does one adjust a letter so that it will actually cut 'fatter' lines.

Thx
Sue

Sur.

I am reading this on my phone and have no access to my machine as I am in the hospital. So beat with my memory.

Once you make your letters initially, select all and break apart.. Mow you can choose each letter. If tou just want them fatter, uncheck the keep proportion nox. Then you van gatten them without lengthening then. Select all and save. Does that help.? Hope the medication hasn't destroyed everything...

Thx Gigi. Hope all goes well with you. the point is that I don't want to do that much work....sounds like I'm out of luck. I just assumed that I could cut around the outside of a stroke, as opposed to only on the path.

thx

Another option to "thicken" up is to create a "shadow" and use the shadow.
