I have a font that is very thin. I would like to widen it so that it will cut better. How would I do this?

If you are using SCAL, you can break the text apart and "shadow" each letter with a minimal shadow. Here is a picture of a thin font "thickened" to .04. The default is .09 . Then of course, just cut the shadow layer.

Of course the simpler way is to choose a different font :). I have also cut amazingly thin fonts from vinyl, which is yet another option.

Where do you find the shadow? I looked and couldn't find it in SCAL.

It's under Effects - along with a ton of new additions.
