Identifying a font in svg file

Identifying a font in svg file

Postby Salucas » January 11th, 2015, 5:58 pm

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there is a way to identify the current font, or fonts, being used in a svg file. I would like to swap out some of the words & change it up, but do not know what font they are using. I am using Sure Cuts Alot 4. Hope this makes sense! Thank you!

You can click on Window>Project Notes and see if the creator listed it in the notes. I try to do that when I make my files just so I remember for my own use.

Chances are that wasn't done. So you can take a screen shot of the font and upload the image to http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ and see if they can identify it.

You can also post it here if you want - depending on the font, one of us might recognize it.

If you know who created the file, you could certainly email them and ask. Good luck.

Thanks so much Gigi! I will try some of those suggestions. I'm not very computer savvy :-( Thanks again!

It might be quicker to just choose a new font that you like and change all of the text. Just be sure to choose a font that cuts well.

Overthinking, Gigi. I do it 99% of the time! It's a rare thing when the obvious answer occurs to me. :ROFLMBO:
