Question about Vector Pieces Layout

Question about Vector Pieces Layout

Postby pscustoms » January 6th, 2015, 2:18 am

So I am cutting using SCAL 4 Pro - If I import my object which has several pieces and I want to consolidate them together to minimuze the amount of material I need to put on my mat - is there a way for the software to do this for me or do I have to manually position all of the pieces I want cut close to each other to lessen my material size?

As far as I know, there is no way for the software to move objects on your mat closer together. That is something you would need to do yourself. The only way that I know of that the software moves objects, is if you are using the align tool, where you can align the tops, bottoms or sides of your object, but it doesn't take your objects and move them all to one area. And if you try to align the the vertical and horizontal on the same selected objects, it will just stack them on top of each other.
