SCAL can't see 24" cutter?

I'm trying to make cuts, but the orientation is wrong. When I go into the cut window, it only shows a 12" cutter. How do I fix this? Thank you.

You need to change your mat size to fit.
Clck on the drop down for mat sizes and then enter the dimensions

My mat size is right, but it changes the orientation to fit a cutter with a 12" opening. It makes the cuts differently. It only changes when I go to the cut screen.

I want to load the mat horizontally, but this is what I get. You can see that the mat is oriented horizontally, but in the cut screen it changes it to fit a 12" machine. My machine is 24".

Set the mat orientation as vertical. Vertical doesn't refer to the way the mat looks, only to what side of the mat is fed into the machine
Then make your mat look horizontal using the custom measurements.
Then you can feed the mat in the way that you want to.
