I was playing with the hatch fill in Inkscape today. I was trying to fill some letters. It filled but showed lines between the letters. Will those lines engrave? When I played with the engraving (before I tried hatch fill) I got some straight lines cut in the design. They weren't on the file so I'm not sure why they engraved. Any suggestions?

yes those will engrave also. when this happens to me I would go and break apart the letters and hatch fill each one because I couldn't think of another way. but you can delete them but be sure to zoom way in and check because sometimes it will delete more than you want it to but you can go back in and draw the part in. I hope some else may have an easier answer for you.
