All my fonts aren't showing in Inkscape

I was working on something today, and going through my list of fonts that are installed on my computer, and I wanted to use one, but when I went to type in my word in Inkscape, the font I wanted to use wasn't showing. There were a couple of others that I noticed were missing also. I know they are installed as I can access them from other programs like Word or AI. They are TTF, so they SHOULD be showing, and I can't for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't be showing in Inkscape. Any one have any ideas???

There are a few fonts that just don't show in Inkscape.
But what you can do is use them in another program and save it as a raster image. Then import that into Inkscape and trace it

Thanks Dawn, that is what I did. I just wasn't sure why they did not show up in inkscape, and thought there was something I was doing wrong.

No, it's nothing you are doing. Some fonts just won't show and I don't know why, wish I did

similar problem-fonts from my font manager, that I have used successfully in inkscape before, are suddenly only showing certain letters correctly. For example if I type Jason, the J and the s are not the font I have selected, the others are???? weird, and driving me nuts lol (short trip I am told)
