For some reason I can't print from inkscape boo hoo hoo

I don't know about all the layers issues, but I have had some trouble printing from Inkscape. I have two issues that I know of.

One is, that for some reason, Inkscape "resets" every time it is through printing this one particular file, and I have to select the size it prints, reducing the size to 97% or it won't fit on the page. No idea why, but this fixes it.

The other thing that happens is a similar "reset" sort of issue. Every time I need to print a contour cutting file from Inkscape, I have to go to preferences and change the page size from "custom" to "letter."

I just thought it was worth mentioning, in case something like this might be happening to you "behind the scenes."

Does anyone have a 12 by 12 printer that they use..that they know they can print to with inkscape. I have been wanting to get one, but now I want to make sure it will work with inkscape...LOL

Usually you get that error message if you linked the image and did not embed it. If you move the file then it can't find the link and it would probably not print. Try importing your image through file - import. Then go to Extensions - images and chose embed images, try and see if that prints. How does your printer do with word and other programs? Can you maybe reinstall the printer driver or see if there is an updated one? I have my eye on the Epson 1400 but it is inkjet.

Forgot to try printing from inkscape with the mac...and that works...LOL. But my DH uses it...LOL. He is trying to fix it for me :0)
