Enlarging Text

Enlarging Text

Postby teejay624 » January 16th, 2012, 12:54 am

I am having trouble getting smooth text lines when I enlarge text in inkscape/signcut. I have no problems smoothing images that are png files and converting them to svg. I need to make a sign that's 8"x16". I'm also using a macbook. Somebody please help!!!

Thanks in advance!

it might be the font some really look bad when enlarged to much. Dawn is right . but you may have to choose another font .

Thank you both. I have tried simplifying and when I send to signcut it just shows a diagonal line on the screen. I'm starting to think that it is the fonts because I really shouldn't be having this much trouble. (Have been working on this for 2 months). What's sad is that I purchased these fonts. Is there any way to tell if a particular font can be enlarged?

Two things to check if you are getting a diagonal line
1. That you are in a layer and not in root
2. That you have 100% opacity on your file.

If you want to select the text and use object to Path, you can then attach it here and I will take a look at it for you

The problem was solved by changing the opacity from 80 to 100% Thank you so much! I never would have thought to do that!!
