Does anybody have an Inkscape PNC registration mark template

Does anybody have an Inkscape PNC registration mark template

Postby fairwayflunkie » September 17th, 2011, 4:13 pm

Purty please!!!!! I'm trying to do a simple print and cut following this video (which is great by the way...)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZXS5p5ZYRk

But she starts with three layers...registration, print followed by cut...I've tried to find the registration file to add in my inkscape templates but to no avail...

TIA

Nancy in Inkscape you can change your paper to letter size, File - Document Properties. Then you can move the registration in twos to make them fit on the letter size page better. You cannot shrink the marks, they have to remain the same size. You'll have to ungroup and then regroup two of them and move them that way. Then regroup all of them. I am having a brain lock on how I got the template into the Inkscape menu,

If any of you experts on here know of any other way, please correct me.

Thanks Phyllis, you got all that exactly right.
If you are on PC then use save as to save to this folder - Inkscape/share/templates

To save the template in Inkscape - go to Program files (x86) (if using Windows 7)> 0r just Program Files if in XP > Inkscape > Share > Templates -

Then you can name it anything you want so you will know what it is. I have my calibration template there and my PNC template there as well.

Hope that helps.

Hey, you did it before midnight. Congrats. Post your successful cut. I would think you are on the correct version of Signcut if it was just installed recently but that would be a Dawn question.

The video was done showing the pc version.
With the mac your tool bar is where it always is - right at the top of your screen

Oy not good... :ROFLMBO: Do the registration marks have to be a certain distance from each other, like...I paired the upper ones and moved them down the paired the bottom ones and I think left them in the same position should I try to move them by the same amount? In other words (in portrait) do the two upper marks have to be a certain distance from the bottom two?

So long as they are stll lined up you can move them two at a time either up or outbut they must remain line3d uo./ Hope this makes sense.
