She is like me and she will get through this. Like I said, it is not unexpected. But, nonetheless, you always have some hope of either a miracle "cure" or it stopping in its tracks and not progressing any further.
But, in the scheme of things, life is not perfect and we ALL have some trials and we have our blessings. I, for one, have more blessings than trials, so I really can't complain. Losing a child is so far worse than losing eyesight, at least it would be for me. So I count my blessings and pray for those less fortunate than me. Doesn't mean I don't want a miracle or something, but life doesn't end with losing eyesight, just your independence ends. In my case, I was told I would be blind by the time I was 30....I am 51 and still driving and doing most everything I want. And mine is not progressing. My friend is pretty much in the same situation. I hurt for her like you wouldn't believe, but I know her character and she won't let this get her down for too long. She just needs prayers to get her over this bump in the road.
