Card I made today...

Card I made today...

Postby Angel135612 » July 3rd, 2011, 7:37 pm

I decided to get out some of my rubber stamps, and dig out my embossing powders to create a card for my August Stampin UP Card Club meeting. I didn't use my cutter in this at all, but all the papers and rubber stamp was StampinUp supplies. The only things that weren't Stampin UP was the ribbon and the embossing powders.

Thank you all for the kind words.

I have such a hard time coming up with ideas for cards. So today, I just picked a stamp set, and got some scrap paper and started playing around with different colors and embossing powders. Decided to go with some of the Stampin Up paper that I bought at our last meeting, and just found something that would work.

I may decide to make another element and either print out a greeting, or use the pen tool with my cougar and write something out, then cut a cute shape around it. But I do like the simplicity of the card so don't want to add to much to it.

That is beautiful, Diane! Is the background stamped and embossed, or is it paper? Either way, it is georgeous!

Elizabeth,

I didn't do any embossing or stamping on the background. The only thing I stamped was the flower on the paper that I ripped. I used Stampin Up cardstock in Saraha Sand the base and what the flower is stamped on) and Pacific Point (the blue) and the patterned paper is Stampin UP Blueberry Crisp designer paper. The ribbon was just something I picked up on clearance somewhere.. don't remember where, it was all I had that matched my colors.
