This is what I did this afternoon!

This is what I did this afternoon!

Postby corwins » July 2nd, 2011, 8:09 pm

A friend's daughter is getting married this month and they wanted some glasses etched so......of course, I volunteered. LOL
First it was only 6, then 12, then a science beaker also.
I have the 12 done but am making my friend come to help do the beaker so I know where they want it.

Nice job!!! I need to find some more things to etch, and practice on. Now that I have my cougar, I'm thinking it may be a lot easier to cut out my designs to use for etching. I bought a huge jar of the Armor Etching Cream.. so I need to start using it... LOL

Thanks all! Got my friend over here today to do the science beaker. Showed her how to do it and let her put the etching cream on. Left it on then washed it off and nothing! It did not etch at all. LOL. I guess it was the kind of glass, that's all we could think of as I used it for some hearts about an hour before.

Sheri, I think the beaker probably was the type of glass... I know I read that Pyrex can not be etched, so the beaker may be something simliar. However, if you have one of the air erasers, that would more than likely work on the beaker....
