Geesh- why didn't we all think of that??!!?? Good one, Diane!

Pat, why not try sending one sheet through your laser printer and see how it works. I doubt if it would hurt your printer. Overhead projectors would get hot (I would think so anyway, haven't used one, but I think the light shining on it to project it would get the transparency hot if it were left there long enough) So I don't think the heat from a laser printer would hurt the transparency. I would think the only difference would be any type of coating that may be on it for the ink to be absorbed so as to not smear. I have some transparencies that are for copiers and laser printers, and from what I can gather on the box, the only difference is the coating that is used for the type of *ink* that would be put on it.

But you need to be careful. The heat from a printer is different from a overhead. It could melt it and ruin your printer. That is from my techno husband, from when I wanted to do the same thing.

Suzan - I wouldn't do it with these I have on hand, as they are for inkjets. Actually we got these transparencies for a church presentation years and years ago, and when I had the inkjet printer, it worked pretty well. You have to set the print driver properly, you're right that if you don't set the driver right, you will have a big mess inside the printer! So careful everyone.

It is raining like wild here, so I am not going to store. I will probably just make do with what I have and TRY hard to get this done - it will have to be all in one color, or, I can try hard to airbrush with the copics and hope I mask well enough. If I cannot touch this project today, and have enough time tomorrow to go to the store - I might do the gallery glass paints. The cooking for today is ALOT! I am only finished with phase 1 and still have to do the main part....
