LOL! I just had my cousin-in-law scour all the 2nd hand stores in Burlington and met her today in Hope BC. She bought a ton for me, all different shapes and colours! I'm giddy with excitement. :D She also stopped at the dollar store and bought some round type vases and I think they will work too! Yup yup everyone is getting one for Christmas. :ROFLMBO:

If you can't get your hands on any old orbs for cheap here's another alternative. My cousin picked me up some of these for a buck at the dollar store but the holes were too big and it leaned back to far. I set the rope farther back, siliconed it, and after it was set I then cut, with scissors, a portion of an old cd and siliconed it to the front. I cut out a bird with my Cougar and applied it to the front because I was worried the "shiny" might scare the birds away.

What do you think? Tacky? or just another way to recycle? :D

Nothing tacky about that - I think it is amazingly clever!! Makes me want to go up and down the aisles of the dollar store!

Thanks Gigi, I wasn't sure about it and have limited opinions around my house. :D

Oh I hope you capture a hungry birdie in the picture - that would be great to see.

Love your creativity.

Terrific idea! So cute. I wonder if hubby has any of those globes squirreled away.
