Fondant or Gum Paste

Fondant or Gum Paste

Postby rzunigac » August 27th, 2014, 11:00 pm

Hi
I have a SB 24" and I want to cut silhouettes from sheets of fondant or gumpaste to decorate cakes
Has someone ever tried to cut this type of material with a SB?
If yes, Which was blade used? Speed? Force?
Thank you

Here is one topic viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1537&p=34800&hilit=cutting+fondant#p34800

And here is another that also contains a blog for support. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1213&p=27864&hilit=cutting+fondant#p27864

Hope that helps.... I think Tyler mentioned having more success with the 45 degree blade...

Gigi
Thank you very much for the references.
In the next days I will try to cut some silhouettes and I will share with you the results

Great! We would all love to see your results. I know I have cut the sugar sheets and they cut beautifully - but have not tried the fondant. Eager to see what you are creating! :)
