Good Morning! Here is a project I just completed for my younger daughter's Prom tonight:

I used two of Penny's rose files, and my Foil Master. There are more photos and deets on my blog, if anyone wants more information.

Happy Saturday!

Looks beautiful Elizabeth. I'm sure your daughter loved it! Plus you saved the date a "bundle" of money! ;) Did you make her date a matching boutonniere?

Thanks, everyone! It's so much fun to make custom projects for my girlies. No date to make a boutonniere for, Mel, as she went with a group of five girls and one guy, all close friends.

Here's a photo of Leila in her gown:

And a fun "selfie".

Beautiful young lady Elizabeth! Glad she was able to go with her friends. Lot of kids around here do that too. I think it makes it more fun in the long run for all of them too!

Thanks, Lisa and Mel. I think it is great that they went in a group. None of them felt any pressure to have a "date". Leila thought about going with one or another of her out of town guy friends, but decided it would be more fun to go with her school friends, as everyone already knows each other.

I will ditto what every one has said....LOVE IT!!!! Your daughter, the dress and the corsage....all beautiful. And I am loving how the kids today don't feel like they have to have a "date" but rather like going in groups of friends and just enjoy themselves. I know my DS had the best times when he would do that rather than having a traditional date. I think it works better for those that aren't already dating someone. When DS was a Freshman, he went to Homecoming with a Senior.....there was a group of Senior girls that just wanted to have fun and they asked the Freshmen boys in the church to be their dates. They all had a blast. And I didn't have to worry because his date drove DS to Homecoming. LOL.

Thanks, Penny! Leila tried the dress on as a lark, because it was so different, and as soon as she came out of the dressing room, we knew it was The One! Because of the unusual colors, I knew right away I would be making her flowers. Your rose files are so awesome, I use them for all of my floral projects!
