I bought the file for the organizer (I need one every year and usually just buy a ready made one). THis one you can customize to your own needs.

The cover needed to be where I can carry it around and needs to be sturdy so no embellishments that can fall off. That was difficult for me. It didn't turn out like I wanted as I tried a few things that didn't work. I haven't given up.....I still want to figure out how to stamp onto texture gel and get an impression. But for this year, this is what I get.

I think it looks great... and you learned what doesn't work, so you know what not to try again. :D

I just had such plans for it and it fell through but I will figure it out. LOL. I think I will use gesso next time. I think I will be able to leave a stamp impression in it.

It's beautiful, Kim. I STILL haven't done the cover on my planner, but I sure am having fun working on my mixed media pages each week.

You can stamp into Gesso, especially the heavy bodied ones. I was just reading about stamping into something after it had formed a skin. Problem is, I can't remember which medium they were talking about. :hide: I think it would work with heavy bodied acrylics. I'll have to find some time to experiment with what I have.

I have a heavy texture gel but when I stamped on it (I spritzed the stamp), it was just too sticky. I tried to wait and let it dry half way and it just would not work. I seem to recall somewhere about someone using gesso. I finally found some clear gesso that I am going to try. The effect I was looking for was having a background paper. Having a clear texture. Stamping a saying into the texture and highlighting the stamp words by inking. Basically having a floating quote.

That sounds lovely! Please share when you get the details worked out! I have only used white Gesso.

Kim, I think it turned out really nice. Would love to see the clear gesso technique when you finish it.
