A card for my preacher

A card for my preacher

I know this does not look like the typical kind of card you would send your preacher, but you just have to understand my preacher. He loves food. As he said, happy, sad, night, day, it doesn't matter, he loves food. And you can tell by the increase of pot lucks our church has ever since he became our preacher. Well, due to health reasons, or rather before he has health problems, he decided to have one of those surgeries that limit the food in your stomach. Lap band or something similar.

Oh, and he is always bringing up old tv and cartoon shows. So this is the card I made for him. The other SUnday, when he was out of the hospital, he mentioned all the cards he got. Then he mentioned mine and told them all about it. Thankfully, he didn't say my name as I was already sinking in my seat. But I was glad that he really liked it.

I was really happy he liked it. I just didn't want the whole congregation to look at me so I was glad he didn't say my name. LOL.

That is awesome, Kim! Love the humor in that card! Sounds like your pastor did, too.

Yes, this preacher usually has us laughing. He always injects humor into his sermons. And he likes old shows. So I knew he would know who Whimpy was and would appreciate the humor. Normally Dad gives him a gift card to Chili's restaurant but this time he gave the preacher a Walmart gift card. DIdn't want to tempt him to eat.

The preacher's wife came up to me yesterday before services and told me how much they enjoyed my card. She said that they were going to keep that one. Makes me so happy that they really enjoyed it and that it brought a smile to their face.
