These are some of the valentine cards I worked on at the crop I went to. THe PNCs were done on my SB at home. I took the Cameo to the crop since it is small. THe gate card was cut on the Cameo. I had to punch out a few of the sections. I used Bazzill cardstock and the Cameo really didn't care too much for it. Most did cut fine, but just some of the small pieces had to be punched out.

I love seeing all the projects you have been working on... makes me feel like I need to get back to crafting. I have been spending more time on my sewing machine lately, but will be using my SB soon to cut fabric for applique as soon as I get some of the extra sticky ReNu sheets from Sherri.

That is so pretty, Kim! Sounds like you were very productive at the crop.

( I have found Bazzill hard to cut in the past, but lately I have been doing a multi cut with lower force, and getting really nice cuts. )

Thanks Elizabeth! YEs, I have problems with Bazzill on really humid days, even on the SB. That is when I just do something like cutting vinyl. LOL. On the Cameo, Bazzill is starting to push the limits. I did multi cuts but I think the next time I try it, maybe bump it to one more pass. But then again, I don't really use it that much. Actually had to figure it out all over again.

BEAUTIFUL Kim!

I usually don't have any problems with Bazzil...weird how we all have our different strengths and weaknesses with our cutting! LOL

I am used to cutting Bazzill on the SB and so am used to nice cuts. The Cameo did a great job except for a couple of spots. And all the cut outs didn't stay on the mat. Other than the couple of spots, it was easy to just give them that extra encouragement to release from the card by just punching them a little. The couple of spots took a little more effort. But then again, I am not used to cutting with the Cameo and I didn't have the cardstock texture side down. That would have probably made a big difference. Frankly, I was trying to figure out what button to push to start the cutting LOL.

Still think that the little Cameo is a great machine for the money and for limited media. If I had a choice between the Cricut and the Cameo, I would choose the Cameo hands down. I'm just spoiled with my Cougar and SB.

I am!!! I just love my Cougar and SB....there isn't anything that I have tried that I just can't cut. The problem is that after the learning curve, it is so easy to do. I don't know how I ever survived the Cricut. I guess when you don't know better, you settle for what you get. Now I am constantly wanting to try something new.

I just found some fabric at equilter that is really neat. I have several "Paris" designs and one with clock faces and one with keys. I also got the Tim Holtz fabric packs from Blitsy. Originally I got them to put inside journal books but they are so neat that I may just have to think of other things to use them for. I have a fabric blade so who knows what I may try next.
