Thank you cards

Thank you cards

Postby Angel135612 » December 19th, 2013, 4:19 pm

I had some time today to make a few of the Thank You cards I need for the season. I quilled the snowflake, and cut the mat with my SB out of Stampin UP Slate Grey card stock. Then used a template to pierce around the edge. (The template is from Stampin UP also). I used Brown Staz-on ink for both sentiments and Old Paper distress ink to give a bit of depth to the mat.

I thought they turned out really cute. I included a little note on the inside to let people know they can take the snowflake off and use it as an ornament or package decoration.

OMG That is so awesome. When I saw the picture I thought it was leather. Great job.

Thanks Suzan... Now that you mention that it looks like leather, it does to me also... didn't see it before since I made them. :-)

I think I may need to get the piercing tool for the SB... that may make doing these a lot faster, once I get the file set up for it. Maybe I can ask Santa for it... LOL.

Thank you Kim, HappyCrafter and Gigi....

Gigi, I tried to quill ages ago, and wasn't very good at it. Then decided to get my supplies out a few months ago and try again. I'm glad I did... there is something about rolling paper that is just relaxing. The hard part is figuring out what colors and shapes you want to make and how to put them all together... LOL.

Those are so pretty, Diane! I'm sure everyone will love them. What a terrific idea to make the snowflake element detachable!

Well it is delicate and beautiful. I agree that it is relaxing too.
We are clearly both on a Dutch papercrafting kick - just made some iris folding cards and put them on my blog. And like you - I love playing with the paper - such fun.

Just LOVE that snowflake. May have to get out my quilling tools...... or not! LOL Need to bake first!

Those cards are so beautiful Gigi, I love iris folding. I find it so relaxing. Not that I even have time for it.
