Broom Lollipop

Broom Lollipop

Postby MichelleMyBelle » August 22nd, 2013, 4:37 pm

Not really a masterpiece. LOL A very quick workup of the new tutorial posted at Splitcoaststampers. We are having a challenge on the ScrappyDew Facebook Page , you can download the file as well. Up for grabs, a ScrappyDew pattern file of your choice. So stop by and join the fun.

I had planned on doing a Print & Cut of the spider, hanging it from the broomstick. My Portrait had a hard time reading the registration marks, should have used my Black Cat! LOL
Edit: I used ScrappyDew Spider Hanging Out File.

I am with Lisa as I get those tutorials in my email every Wednesday. I too disregarded it, but that is just adorable, Michelle. So glad you gave it a try!

I'll echo what Lisa and Gigi said. I saw the tutorial, thought it was cute, but didn't think I would ever need to make it. I love your Michelle.. that is just too cute!!!

Adorable. Much cuter than the original, in my opinion!

Awe, thanks everyone! They work up very quick and are so easy to make. I used the smaller lollipop, I think it works better than the larger ones. Someone had asked on the SD FB page what else they can use, they had no lollipops. I told them to cut and wrap a skewer. The lollipop is actually suspended by the broom, so really no lollipop is needed. :)

I never really thought about what else to use instead of a lollipop, but now that you mention something else, I think it would be cute if you used pencils, and either get the ones that are "decorated" or cover some in paper to make them cuter. That would make the broom really cute!! I have a ton of pencils that I bought for some reason, (the yellow ones) and haven't used.. may need to get out my ModPodge and print up some cute papers and get to work... may have to make these for my card club for Oct.

Diane, love the pencil idea as well! I have so many themed pencils from my sons school goodie bags over the years. :) You can trim them to a desired length and have a longer area in which embellish. The lollipop stick is fairly small.

I like the spider! looks too cute. The broom reminds me of quilling. Well done.
