Graduation projects

Postby Elizabeth » June 10th, 2013, 6:48 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have been busy in the last couple of weeks working on Projects for my DD's graduation. Here are a couple of photos of favorite projects. There are more on my blog, if you would like to check them out.

Wow Elizabeth - just checked your blog to see more of the details. I love all of your projects. You did an awesome job. The roses on her cap are gorgeous!!

And I love the photos in the old window - that is just brilliant.

The decorations look great - she must be thrilled! Great job!!!

Thanks, ladies! That window has been hanging out behind my house for a couple of years. It took about 6 tries to get it clean, and every time I touched it, more putty fell off! I love how it turned out, and am very excited about redoing it seasonally and for special events.

The cap is the second special project I have worked on this spring with Naomi using Penny's flower files. Very special memories for us!

Thanks, everyone! I certainly had fun. Now I'm thinking about what I can do in two years when my baby graduates.

Beautiful work Elizabeth. I will have to go over to your blog and check out the rest of it but wanted to comment while I was here! My DD will graduate next year and my DS the very next year so I figure I better start collecting ideas now! (Course I better start creating them now if I expect to actually have them done by the time DD's graduation rolls around next MAY! ;) You better believe they will be gender neutral for most of them so I can easily save and reuse for DS the following May! :ROFLMBO: )

Thanks, Melanie! I already have all of the extra plates and plastic ware packed in a ziplock and tucked away for DD #2 in two years. She didn't seem that excited to be getting hand-me-down party stuff! :ROFLMBO: I will also save any of the decorations that aren't personalized.

As busy as you are with sports, maybe you should start cutting right now!!!

Well, in two years maybe she will have forgotten that they are "hand-me-down" decorations! ;) :ROFLMBO: Yes, I should probably start cutting now! They do several "senior" lunches at school with special themes - I know with my cutters I could some really cute decorations and stuff but I didn't sign-up! Didn't want to make that commitment - decided the work load wasn't worth the oohs and aahs! :ROFLMBO: Maybe I will change my mind come Fall!
